Frequently Asked Questions

We accept gently used books (hardcover and paperback), textbooks less than 10 years old, novels, non‑fiction, children’s books, DVDs, Blu‑rays, video games, gaming consoles, board games and puzzles. We only take sealed VHS tapes and cannot accept audiobooks at this time.

Please make sure your items are clean, free of water damage and excessive wear, and include all original pieces. If it’s a game or puzzle, ensure all parts are present.

We can accept textbooks published within the last 10 years. Unfortunately we cannot take encyclopedias or heavily outdated academic materials.

We primarily serve Saint Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo, Seminole, Pinellas Park and Gulfport. Check our <a href="/schedule">schedule</a> form or <a href="/what-we-accept">service area page</a> to see if we serve your ZIP code. We’re expanding, so check back often!

Yes! Rescue Media Mission is a registered non-profit organization. We provide a donation receipt upon pickup which you can include with your tax records. Please consult your tax professional for advice.

We only accept VHS tapes that are sealed in their original packaging. Opened or used VHS tapes cannot be accepted.

We do not currently accept audiobooks.

After pickup, your items are assessed. Those in good condition may be resold to fund our mission or redistributed to local schools, libraries and charities. Items that cannot be reused are responsibly recycled.
